Sankranti Special Rangoli


Sankranti is around the corner....so its time for Rangoli again. On the day of festivals we are busy with the preparations and cooking, so here are a few designs which you can make in a jiffy.














In the 2nd rangoli design, a pattern is created using flower petals and outside the pattern, freehand sanskar rangoli motifs are drawn.

This is a magnificent shreekar sanskar bharti rangoli. Magnificent because of its size and the rich and vibrant colors used.




The Shree in the center is drawn artistically with the little intricate loop designs.

Diwali Sanskar Bharti Rangoli Design





To make such a bright and colorful Sanskar Bharti Rangoli,


  1. Using a chalk draw a hexagon.

  2. Then draw 6 semi circles at each of the corners.

  3. Draw small 6 circles in between the semi circles.

  4. Fill the hexagon and circles with bright colors.

  5. Then make traditional sanskar bharti motifs with white rangoli.

Omkar Rangoli / Rangoli with Om





A beautiful sanskar bharti rangoli with the design of OM at the center. Streaks of orange and yellow color are made on the dark blue background, which gives a feathery texture like feeling. Keeping pots around the rangoli is a good idea against spoiling it.

Sanskar Bharti Rangoli Pattern using Salt n Stencil



The above rangoli is a medley of a stencil design and typical sanskar bharti motifs.



The design at the center and the diyas are made through stencils.



Fill the smaller circle with a dark color, then make the stencil design using light color. In the 2nd concentric circle, 2 colors – green and yellow both are used in the merge effect. Simply merge both the colors while filing the circles.



The outlines are made using white rangoli and colored salt .

Semi Circular Sanskar Bharti Rangoli










This is a semi circular sanskar bharti rangoli design.





First draw the outline of the rangoli design, with a chalk piece. Then fill colors of yours choice in light * dark combination.





Then make freehand designs using white rangoli. This design is very simple, geometric and symmetrical.
